MINI ROK U10

Year of 7th to 10th Birthday

The MINI ROK U10 Class under ROK Cup SA is a great option for young drivers looking to start a career in karting. It is designed for drivers between the Ages of 7 to 10 and uses a specific engine called the Vortex Mini ROK Engine (Restricted), which has a displacement of 60cc. Kid ROK is the starting class for kids or the step up from the Cadet Class. The Kid ROK Kart is built on a 950mm Wheelbase MINI Chassis, making it the perfect size for young drivers. The engine is restricted to 10 horsepower to ensure easy and safe driving. The Kid ROK class is a Low-Cost Formula with Easy-to-Run Engines and durable LeVanto Tires. The Kid ROK Class is part of the 2024 ROK CUP National Series, with Club, Regional, and National racing available. The winner of the Kid ROK class will be invited to represent South Africa and compete at the ROK CUP SUPERFINAL (must be 8 years old) The MINI ROK Class at the SUPERFINAL will be run on pool engines providing the fairest possible conditions for our South African drivers to perform.

MINI ROK

Year of 8th to 12th Birthday

The MINI ROK Class under ROK Cup SA is a great option for young drivers looking to progress in their karting careers. It is designed for drivers between the Ages of 8 and 12 and uses a specific engine called the Vortex Mini ROK engine, which has a displacement of 60cc. Mini ROK is the step up from the Kid ROK Class (the Head Gasket and Exhaust Restrictor are now removed from the Kid ROK Engine providing a cost effective upgrade). The MINI ROK kart is built on a 950mm Wheelbase MINI Chassis, making it the perfect size for young drivers. The engine is restricted to 10 horsepower to ensure easy and safe driving. The MINI ROK Class is a Low-Cost Formula with Easy-to-Run Engines and durable LeVanto Tires. The MINI ROK Class is part of the ROK CUP National Series, with Club, Regional, and National racing available. The winner of the MINI ROK Class will be invited to represent South Africa and compete at the ROK CUP SUPERFINALS. The MINI ROK Class at the Superfinal will be run on pool engines providing the fairest possible conditions for our South African drivers to perform. Due to the pool engines only the winner of the national class will be extended this invitation.

MICRO MAX

Year of 7th to 11th Birthday

Micro Max Class under RMCSA is a step up from the Bambino Class or ideal to start karting for larger 7-year old and can be competed in until the end of the year in which you turn 11-years old. Using a de-tuned ROTAX 125 Junior Max engine @8 bhp and fitted to a 950mm Wheelbase MINI Chassis designed for 7 to 13-year-old kids this provides an easy to drive, easy to run and low running cost formula. Various makes of chassis are available in SA. The winner of the Micro Max class will be invited to compete at the ROTAX Max Challenge Grand Finals in 2024. The prize includes the use of brand-new kart and engine drawn by raffle this ensures the fairest racing in karting. All tyres dry and wet, fuel, oil, tools, trolley, etc. are covered by this prestigious invitation. The ROTAX Karting Formula provides for a very Easy and Low-Cost Upgrade from Micro Max to MINI Max Class when your driver is either too old or too heavy to continue in Micro Max. Micro Max has a minimum all up weight of 105kg and uses durable Mojo C2 Tyres. Club, Regional and National racing – part of the 2024 SARMC Karting National Championship Series. Winner invited to participate in the 2024 ROTAX Max Challenge Grand Finals – the Olympics of karting.

MINI MAX

Year of 9th to 13th Birthday

MINI Max Class under RMCSA this is the step up from Micro Max or for new comers to start racing between 9 and 13 years old. Using a restricted 13 bhp ROTAX Max Junior Engine and fitted to a 950mm Wheelbase MINI Chassis designed for 9 to 13-year-old kids and various brands are available in SA this provides an Easy to Drive, Easy to Run and Low Running Cost Formula. The ROTAX Karting Formula provides for a very Easy and Low-Cost Upgrade/Downgrade from Micro Max to MINI Max so when your driver is either too old or too heavy to continue in Micro Max a few simple changes on the engine increases the power to 13 bhp. MINI Max has a minimum all up weight of 115kg and uses durable Mojo C2 Tyres. Club, Regional and National racing – part of the 2024 SARMC Karting National Championship Series. The winner of MINIi Max Class will be invited to compete at the ROTAX Max Challenge Grand Finals. The prize includes the use of brand-new kart and engine drawn by raffle this ensures the fairest racing in karting.
