The OKJ-N Class under ROK Cup SA is the next class after MINI ROK or for new drivers from 11 to 14. It is designed for drivers between the Ages of 11 to 14 and uses a specific engine called the Vortex OK-J DDJ Reed Valve Engine or Vortex OK-J DJT Reed Valve Engine at the discretion of the promoter, which has a displacement of 125cc. Carburettor Tillotson HW-38A and KG Nitro 3 Intake Silence The OK-J Kart is built on a 1050mm Wheelbase Senior Chassis, making it the perfect size for young drivers. The OKJ Class is a Low-Cost Formula with Easy-to-Run Engines and durable LeVanto Tyres. The OKJ Class is part of the ROK CUP National Series, with Club, Regional, and National racing available. The winner of the OKJ Class will be invited to represent South Africa and compete at the ROK CUP SUPERFINAL. The National OKJ Class is run on pool engines to ensure an even playing field and that driving talent is nurtured. The winner of the South African National Championship in OKJ will be invited to attend the FIA OKJ Academy Trophy Championship competition in Europe which is a fantastic way for a young driver to obtain recognition in the world of international motorsport and motorsport scouts.

OKN under ROK Cup SA stands for Original Karting National and uses the Vortex VTS-N Engine, which has a displacement of 125cc. Carburettor Tillotson HW-49A and KG Nitro 3 Intake Silence. OK-N is the step up from the OKJ Class. This class was introduced in 2023 by the FIA Karting Federation as a Low Maintenance even playing field for National Classes in all countries. The OKN Class is part of the 2024 ROK CUP National Series, with Club, Regional, and National racing available. The driver that wins in South Africa in 2024 will represent the country in the FIA World Cup and will be able to showcase their skills in a prestigious event, the FIA Karting World Championship in the presence of the greatest teams in the sport and under the watchful eye of influential motorsport observers. This is the step up from MINIi Max or for new comers to start racing between 12 and 15* years old. Using the famous ROTAX 125 Junior Max Engine without restrictors 22 bhp, fitted to a 1050cm “Senior” Chassis and wider Mojo D5 Tyres and a Minimum Weight of 145 kg these karts set impressive lap times. The Rotax Karting Formula provides for a very Easy and Low-Cost Upgrade/Downgrade right from Micro Max up to Senior Max, so when your driver is either too old or too heavy to continue in Junior Max the engine can be upgraded to Senior Max specification 30 bhp. These Hi-Tech Water-Cooled ROTAX Engines provide a very long life and parity of performance so you score from real long-term economy. Electric Start and Auto-Clutch provide a safe and convenient way to get out there or recover from a spin without needing assistance. Club, Regional and National racing – part of the 2024 RMCSA Karting National Championship Series. Winner invited to participate in the 2024 ROTAX Max Challenge Grand Finals – the Olympics of karting. *While a 15*-year-old driver can participate and win the National Championships in the Junior Max Category, they cannot compete at the RMCGF unless they possess the license below before the first RMCSA event. A driver in the year of his 15*th birthday can participate in the Junior Max Category at the RMCGF only if he-she is placed on the official CIK FIA list for special licence cases to be able to hold a valid International G Karting Licence, according to Article 3.4.1 of the CIK International Karting Licences for Drivers.

Senior Max is the logical next step from Junior Max. The class is an open class and drivers can compete from the year they turn 14 years-old until they are too old to kart. Weight or being 32 years old will move you on to the next class, Max 175. A driver weighing approximately 75kg will not need to carry any lead. By just changing to the Senior Cylinder which accommodates the Power Valve and the compound of tyre you have made the jump up to Senior Max. The top Senior Max driver is invited to compete at the RMCGF. The prize includes the use of brand new kart and engine drawn by raffle this ensures the fairest racing in karting. All tyres dry and wet, fuel, oil, tools, trolley, etc. are covered by this prestigious invitation. It is advisable to take part in Senior Max for at least one season before moving into the premier ROTAX DD2 Class.
